School Magazine Reader Profile & Mood Board

Again, as part of planning we created a reader profile which would assist us in designing our school magazine to reflect our target audience. Here is my reader profile and mood board:

Brooke is between the ages of 16-18, she is popular at school but isn’t one to look down on people because of her ‘status’, she tries to be friends with everybody. She is currently taking her A-levels which she has chosen in accordance to what her future dream is- to be a fashion designer. Brooke’s chosen Textiles, Photography, Art and Business Studies as she feels these subjects will be most useful with a good grade in kick-starting her designing career.  She would like to have her own clothing line in the future, and be very successful at this. As well as finding her studies vital Brooke believes her closest friends to be very important and regards loyalty highly. She is generous and understanding yet doesn’t give out second chances too easily. Brooke see’s rude people as irritating and they are one of her major dislikes as well as fake people and thieves.  She lives in a large house close to school, her parents are fairly well off but she never sees them. She walks to school as she lives near, but everywhere else she drives herself and regularly gives friends lifts. Brooke is always wearing the latest trends but mixes them up a bit to create her own style; she also makes a lot of her clothes and customises other items to fit in with her fashion designing dreams. Although she has lots of clothes she doesn’t make a lot of effort for school, as she doesn’t see the point and finds learning more important. Her music tastes range from The Kooks, and Mumford & Sons, to Jason Derulo and Tinie Tempah. Brooke can be found shopping for new clothes with her friends most of the time, after school and at weekends.

Here is the mood board for my reader profile which makes it clear what type of reader I was aiming my school magazine at:
